This makes it easy to turn a smartphone into an attendance terminal where employees can record their attendance – optionally including a photo, GPS location, selected project or other details.
In addition to your own computers, tablets, and EET devices , you can also run the Punch Clock app on Android phones and iPhones. This is useful, for example, for tracking attendance in the field or for testing the system before purchasing wall-mounted punch clocks.
Employees can record their attendance using a numeric PIN, or via QR code on devices equipped with a camera.
On Android devices with a built-in NFC reader, you can often also use chips or cards. If the device does not have an NFC reader, you can connect an external chip reader.
On selected Android and Windows 11 devices, you can also connect a fingerprint reader and allow employees to clock in using their fingerprint.
